Consumer Confidence Online: The Privacy Debate

FTC Commissioner Orson Swindle, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Representative William ^ÓBilly^Ô Tauzin (R-LA), will address a National Chamber Foundation/U.S. Chamber of Commerce symposium on the issue of online privacy. Distinguished panelist include: Jason Catlett, President and Founder, Junkbusters Corp; Richard Purcell, Director of Corporate Privacy, Microsoft Corporation; former FTC Commissioner, Christine Varney; Frank Torres, Legislative Counsel, Consumers Union; and Andy Pincus, General Counsel, Department of Commerce.

Participants will discuss emerging technologies that enhance the online experience, legislative and technology driven approaches to consumer privacy, and who looks out for the consumer in this increasingly networked environment.
