Subject: Getting into the industry

Hi list,
I am seeking the best way to get into a pentesting role in 4/5 years time
(or more/less)
I was looking for advice from you as to what qualifications are best or more
recognised (unfortunately the former doesn't often mean the latter), and
also how to gain any sort of recognisable experience which would help me
progress to attain such a role.

I am currently 18, have completed my A-Levels (B Maths and BC double award
ICT) and achieved Ciscos ITE1 and ITE2 plus done my CCNA 1 - 4 although my
certification exam isn't until next month. I have been accepted to
Birmingham City university (formerly University at the Center of England)
for a deferred year (start sept 09) for the Computer Networks and Security
course.

I am situated in Cornwall, UK saving up to offset my student loan (hopefully
I won't have to use one).

Thanks for any help as I really really want to get into this industry and
sort of job.

Regards,
Daniel Hewitt
