Helix and Backtrack are x86 LiveCD distributions. They will not run on SPARC hardware, which is what I assume the target architecture to be. Either one would have to recompile and rebuild the ISO(s) for SPARC architectures, or remount the disks to be wiped in a SCSI-equipped Intel system and perform the operation there.
