I knew tools like NMAP can perform ping formultiple IP addresses with single command but I still wanted to use legacy*Nix tools like ping, nslookup, etc.
He's looking for default, basic tools. IRM, it wouldn't be too difficult to construct your own script. Here's a nice start. :)
