They're all different...I carry a couple. It's a little like tools in a toolbox. I have a variety of screwdrivers and a couple different hammers. I even have one of those little hammers with a couple screwdrivers in the handle...but I never seem to use that one. My wife has this little tiny hammer, I usually use a standard one but the guys that built my house use this big 2 lb. hammer...not sure I could even swing that all day. Unless you're on dialup, just download 'em all and burn 'em to cheap CDs you pick up at Staples when they're on sale and try 'em all out. BTW, BackTrack is the one I read for most often. -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of zillah Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2007 1:06 PM To: pen-test () securityfocus com Subject: Can we say Back|Track best CD for a Penetration Test I have read many and seen many articles about Linux Live CDs for Penetration Test http://www.livecdforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=421 http://distrowatch.com/search.php?category=Security&origin=All&basedon=A ll&desktop=All&architecture=All&status=Active http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/linux-security/66519-specialised-pen-te sting-security-distros.html#post451467 But I could not figure out which is the best CD ?
