Mike,

I took the CEH course provided by http://infosecinstitute.com and found
it to be very helpful.  You won't be a l33t hax0r by the time you
finish, but you'll gain a really good insight into the tools and
methodologies that hackers use.

The instructor (Tim Singletary) was very knowledgeable, and the capture
the flag events really helped with applying the knowledge you learned.
