First of all, thank you to everyone for the response. You added insight has lead me to some new developments. Killy- Yes, the form of packet manipulation I am attempting is based upon firewalk and the modified version of traceroute which allows an incremented port address, therefore bypassing the firewall on say port 53, and then accessing the host behind the firewall on an incremented or decremented port. Also, thank you for your suggestion with paratrace. I have heard of it but have not used it before.
