Keystroke logging goes beyond simple commands history. .history won't tell you username/passwords entered, web sites visited, etc. While it is usefull to know what commands were run, a keylogger would also be able to provide that information, and a lot more.
nor mouse clicks ----- if you have physical access to the machine .. to install keyloggers ( sw or hw ).. game over.. its a compromized machine or a "missing laptop" with your credit card info on it c ya alvin
