I think a good portion of you guys use a VMWare-Linux setup when doing pen-test (for many reasons). The question i would like to ask is, which linux distribution works best for this specific purpose ? Obviously you dont need a distribution with many fency Xwin features and preferably good networking tools built-in.
VMware, latest version of workstation, runs great on my SuSE 8.2 box. I don't think there is necessarily any 'best' distro to run it on; go with what lets you
do the best job. The RPMs you can download from the VMware site work great, but I think I've built it from .tar.gz files without any problem. -- For Good, return Good. For Evil, return Justice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
