You are certainly stretching the truth here.  Morris's FATHER was
doing security for UNIX when Morris, Jr. was a child. That is how Jr
learned how to crack.  Check out some of the early Unix V7 doc and you
will see a very strong concern for security from the start.

As for the unwashed masses of (l)users, everything important is
always news to them....
