I'd also be nervous about lawyers. Some of that stuff rots your lungs for sure, and how could you prove all of it doesn't? Out of twelve jurors, half are below average.
Previously when testing data center fire suppression equipment, specifically our VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection) equipment, they simply used a can of compressed "smoke." I'm not sure what the contents were, but all it took was a single spray at the sampling tubes and the alarms went off like crazy. Could this be used to deploy other fire suppression systems? Dunno, but I'd guess it's far less hazardous, toxic and/or corrosive than setting off smoke bombs in the data center. This is starting to get off topic, so I'll shut up now. :) --Rebecca Kastl
