I have found that CIS http://www.cerberus-infosec.co.uk/ checks for a large number of web server/site issues as well as a range of other potential problems. It's not comercially supported since it is free, but 150,000 or so downloads with little advertising has to say something... (Well, if commercial entity's can gently plug their payware, I can do the same for freeware ;-) ) *waves* Regards, JJ ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Ungar <m_ungar () YAHOO COM> To: <PEN-TEST () SECURITYFOCUS COM> Sent: Sunday, August 20, 2000 4:28 AM Subject: Re: Retina
Quick question to the group on Scanners. During training I took last week there was general consensus from the instructors that although ISS and Cycercop are good assessment tools overall, specific to web servers they are weak compared to scanners that focus on web servers, like Retina. Is there general agreement on this point and if so, are there any recommended commercially supported favorites besides Retina. Thanks.
