Is your WiFi on and does your Firefox have location-aware browsing enabled? Firefox uses Google's location services for finding out where you might be at. The guesstimated location should be based on IP (.nl) and wireless APs in the area (.de). No idea which, if any, has preference or if it's even relevant at all. Just a thought.
