Re: Summer reading list (2012)

Mine includes the Anon/Lulz book previously mentioned.

From the "support the community" list:
I've recently read Dennis Fisher's (from Kaspersky/ThreatPost) crime
novel, Motherless Children. A little bit of tech and hackery, but
really a murder/crime mystery thing. Short book, good read, member of
the infosec community.
Another infosec guy, Andy Updike wrote a book, The Alexandria Project.
This is a hacking/intrigue book, not deep in tech, but I found it
entertaining.

And, sadly there will be a book or two on cyberwar/cyberterrorism
(DRINK!!) on the Kindle, too. I'll reserve listing them until I know
if they are worth the e-ink they are written with.

On the up side, I just finished the last Discworld book, Snuff.
Classic Pratchett, good stuff.

I posted my reading list last month on my blog.  17 books and only 7 months
left in the year.  As usual, I'm behind...

Currently reading Zero Day, also looking at Debian "the administrator's

I own the first edition maybe I would add that.

I'm sticking with tech books, I think. Here's what I've got on tap:

Practical Malware Analysis (already started this one and it's great)

Practical Packet Analysis

The IDA Pro Book

Hope to get through them all, but we'll see. Life seems to find a way to
interrupt my reading plans.

OK, I'll throw it on the already way to long wishlist/to read pile.

Do you know anything about the author? Sounds like the kind of book
that could easily be sensationalist or uncorroborated guesses.

Anyone read Russinovich's novels? Any good?
