I'm using Virtual Box in OS X and with two wifi cards when I plug them in and tell Virtual Box to let the VM use them it says that the device is in use by someone else. How can I find out what is using the device so that I can release it and let the VM have it? I have the UUID and the details from system_profiler but searching a process list and the output of lsof I can't find anything that looks like wifi. Any tips OS X fans? Robin
Answering my own question, with suggestions from a couple of other people, I installed the latest VirtualBox then powered off the VM and manually assigned the wifi card to the machine. Power back on and all is now working. I'm not sure exactly what the technical difference is from what I was trying last night apart from the newer version but all is working happily now.
