Is that Dragon-y card similar to an ALFA card? I know ALFA was putting out drivers for the AWYS036H (realtek chipset) that had some extra power controls built in to them since that card was higher power (250 or 500mw?). If it's a realtek chipset maybe start there. http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptlist.phtml?Category=105397 On Thu, May 13, 2010 at 4:41 PM, Tyler Robinson <pcimpressions at gmail.com>wrote:
Depending on the drivers under advanced in your device manager and under you device there is a tx drop down for certain cards maybe yours has that option maybe not be careful adjusting this setting as it can and will cook cards. Figured out how to get my WiFi adapter to do 1000mW in BackTrack 4, now how do I set TX power in Windows so I can reach out and touch wireless networks inappropriately?
