Do those tools allow file transfer or copy/paste ability? If so, you can't track what is exfiltrating out through that technology. Or in! Bandwidtch may be a concern as well. If you do any netflow analysis, the extra noise can be annoying. I do personally block these sites both in web filters but also my IPS. Most, if not all, web content filters by default block them. I'd trust their judgement, to a degree as well. On Mon, Mar 8, 2010 at 8:17 AM, Rick Hayes <rick.hayes at gmail.com> wrote:
I wanted to get consensus on the thoughts on allowing access to GoToMyPC, GoToAssist, etc.for internal users to an external entity. Are the majority of you blocking these? If so, what are your concerns specifically with GoToMyPC. I understand the whole circumventing web content filtering argument, but was really hoping for something more than some corporate opposition to porn. What would be the concerns raised with GoToAssist? -- Thanks, Rick Hayes CISSP, CCSP, OSWP, GSEC, GCFA, GSLC _______________________________________________ Pauldotcom mailing list Pauldotcom at mail.pauldotcom.com http://mail.pauldotcom.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pauldotcom Main Web Site: http://pauldotcom.com
