I'd pull the reports into Excel then remove the duplicates, Use the spreadsheet already provided at the following link. Just import the dotnessus file go to the next line then import the next dotnessus file. Post by s0apb0x https://discussions.nessus.org/message/4818#4818 It makes pulling reports together quite quick then you can use pivot tables to group and change the data or make pretty charts(Everyone like looking and pretty charts). I tend to create a top N hosts sheet giving a rundown on which hosts have the most issues and separate sheets for various software families. The results in the overlap are the same so all that will need to happen is to remove the duplicated hosts then merge the two scans/reports. I could write a script to parse the XML and do this but I was wondering if there was a better way to do it before I put the effort in.
