That degrees do you have?

Andy and Dan, I would like some info as well. I'm also finishing up a Masters in Computer Engineering specializing in Information Assurance and I don't have a whole lot of faith in my local university's ability to support some good technical research for a doctorate. I'm considering all options right now. I've tossed around a handful of topics, but nothing seems to stick with my faculty. I might need to look at another university. I understand the view that post-grad degrees might not bring the monetary value you would expect, but this is more of a personal goal than chasing a bigger paycheck. My experience is that most of the upper degrees in MIS, CS, or Computer Engineering are leaving the country to go back home after completing the degree. So I can see a need for such degrees in the future. Ben On Oct 5, 2009, at 7:34 PM, dandantheitman wrote:
Hey Andy. If you don't mind me asking what are you looking at doing your doctorate in. I am about to finish my Master in Computer Sci /w a specialisation in Information Security and am interested in pursuing my doctorate. Dan 2009/10/1 Andy Green - Green Consulting <andy at green-consulting.net>:I'm teaching undergrad infosec courses at a local university. I've got a Masters in Information Systems, and an undergrad certificate in InfoSec. I hope to be starting my doctorate work in the next year. I'm curious, what degrees do some of you have? I'm interested in finding a job teaching infosec, so if you teach I'd really like to hear what credentials you have.
