HIDS advice?

Hiall,

I've been suing Tripwire Open Source for a while now, however I'm not  
happy with the restrictions placed on the opensource version compared  
to the commercial version.

I've started to look into alternatives and there are two that appear  
to be a good replacement.

The first is Samhain and the second is OSSEC.

Does anyone have an recommendations or advice on which of the above  
(or even a completely differently solution!) to choose?
