periodic diff script

Hi, I was trying to use your periodic ndiff script available on
https://nmap.org/book/ndiff-man-periodic.html but I get an error message on
the created diff file.

xml.sax exception <XML file> not well-formed (invalid token)

The code I use is attached.

Any help would be appreciated.
