ncat limited throughput

Hello,

Looking for advice for increasing ncat throughput. I've only been able to
achieve speeds of about 300 Kbps. Ncat was used as a simple client and
server pairing to transfer the contents of a file.

The systems tested were on the same LAN.

Your suggestions are appreciated.
