so maybe someone can confirm something for me. i noticed after i ran a packet trace on one of the scripts (RIP broadcast) i AM seeing the packet go out, just not through windump or any sniffers i usually run. i found this interesting. NSOCK INFO [1.5450s] nsock_sendto(): Sendto request for 24 bytes to IOD #1 EID 1 1 [224.0.0.9:520] NSE: UDP 0.0.0.0:0 > 224.0.0.9:520 | 00000000: 01 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00000010: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 so is that originating IP of mine supposed to be 0.0.0.0?? and the next question i have. in order to use mcast, do i need to enable any miniport drivers? i ask because i have all those disabled, like TEREDO/WAN MINIPORT/IP6/L2TP. was there one that was in charge of mcast? thanks Mike
