GSOC 16 : Doubts related to Testing/Automation Specialist And Cleaning Up Zenmap

Hi, I am Smit Patel from India,a second year undergraduate student at
National Institute of Technology Karnataka.Currently I have a complete
basic and somewhat advanced understanding of Python,C and C++.

I have few doubts related to the project which are as follows:

1. How do I prove my mettle and show you that I am worthy of getting the
job?
2. I recently created a pull request for zenmap and applied a small patch
on a file which required pep8 formatting. Will this be considered as a
contribution worthy?
