error installing newest nmap

running nmap and i get this lovely dialogue window "CANT START BECAUSE I AM MISSING MSVCR120.DLL" . i already know that 
is related to the new c++  runtimes but i have those already installed! the next question is why did we feel the need 
to run with new ones? what was wrong with the old? anyway, new nmap is broke. guess i will stick with the old
