Hello,

I received the service unrecognized message below after running: nmap -A -Pn -T4 ip-address

I have a simple ubuntu 14.04 LTS running openssh server at this point. I haven't seen any mention of 14.04 in the archives having problems with nmap.

I do have the following iptable rule:

fail2ban-ssh tcp -- any any anywhere anywhere multiport dports ssh

1 service unrecognized despite returning data. If you know the service/version, please submit the following fingerprint at http://www.insecure.org/cgi-bin/servicefp-submit.cgi :
SF-Port22-TCP:V=6.40%I=7%D=7/18%Time=53C9C540%P=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu%r(NULL
SF:,29,"SSH-2\.0-OpenSSH_6\.6\.1p1\x20Ubuntu-2ubuntu2\r\n");

Thanks for your assistance.

Joe
