Greg, We had some problems with the Zenmap portion of the 6.45 and 6.46 releases that are now fixed in the 6.47 installer [1]. Hopefully this will clear up your issues, too. Please let us know if you find any more problems. Dan [1] http://nmap.org/download.html#macosx On Sat, Aug 16, 2014 at 2:44 PM, Gregory Gallagher <ggallagjr () verizon net> wrote:

The first two attempts showed the zenmap icon in the application folder, but this could not open the GUI even after trashing all of the fore-mentioned. X-11 is already installed and Wire Shark runs normally. The directories ncat and nmap were deleted from /usr/local/share after the first two tries. However, ncat, ndiff, nmap and nping under /usr/local/bin was not allowed ("You do not have permission") The third attempt was made with the same result. "nmap" from the terminal prompt stated that the image could not be found in the initial installation attempt. All files were in the unhidden state, but I suspect that Apple has refused to make the bin files available to users. The bottom line is that I now have two machines, Mac Pro and Mac Book Pro, that will not run nmap as it is presently configured. Any ideas?
