hi all, No I have not done any project of this type. But I am a System Engineer at Dristi-tect pvt. ltd. I am very much interested in Vulnerability research. I know TCP/IP. But I don't have any algorithm to identify the remote operating system. So, hope you guys can help in this project. Actually I want to make a automated framework for security research. It would be the GUI application. A user just need to click, click and next buttons to run this software. The following are the core functions of this software; 1. First it will scan the range of IP addresses and list out the alive host. 2. Second, the user will select an IP from alive host and do further scanning. This scanning will list out the open ports and try to identify remote operating system. 3. And based on this finding the application will lunch the security testing in the remote host. For this the application will have vulnerability database and the code (i.e. shell-code, payload etc) that can be use to exploits know vulnerability. So, any person with little knowledge of this software can test their system against any know vulnerabilities. So guys, I don't know how to start this project. So, please help with this. Thanks, Regards, Dhiraj Khatiwada On Fri, Apr 18, 2014 at 9:32 AM, Littlefield, Tyler <tyler () tysdomain com>wrote:

Are there any other projects that currently do what you want?
