Hi,

I started implementing the support for UNIX-domain
sockets for ncat.

Thanks for your efforts. Does RedHat have a customer who needs this
support or have you seen some other sign of demand? Before we commit
to supporting a new (to Ncat/Nsock) interface, I want to be sure folks
will actually use it. We shouldn't add it just because original nc
supported it back in 1996. The networking landscape was a lot
different back then.

Then again, I guess we did recently add Gopher support to Nmap :).
But an NSE script is a lot less intrusive than this change would be.

This question isn't just for Tomas. If anyone else on nmap-dev thinks
they would personally use Ncat with UNIX domain sockets, please speak
up and describe your usage scenarious. I'd love to hear some neat
things that could be done with "ncat -U". Then if we do implement it,
we could add those usage examples to the Ncat User's Guide[1].

Cheers,
Fyodor
