Hello,

Accomplishments:
1) Rewrote the tuf framework to support root meta data expiration. Then 
tested it to make sure it works. And it does.
2) Talked with the openssl people and found a partial fix for the -vvv 
--ssl-verify bug.

Goals:
1) Get updater root key handed over to fyodor and give him all the 
information on how the update system is set up.
2) Finish the fix for -vvv --ssl-verify
3) Get my changes to the TUF framework pushed upstream.
