Hey Fyodor,
Does anyone here use newer versions of Nmap on a PowerPC Mac? Unless I hear a strong argument for keeping it, we'll probably remove PowerPC support in the next release.
I have an old PPC mac from 2003 which runs 10.4. I often use it when scanning Mac only networks. I could switch over to using a dual boot Linux, but always feel using the same OS as you are attacking makes sense. As I am only called on to occasionally perform such a scan, I don't think it would justify the purchase of a new Mac for a scan that takes place once or twice a year.
