Hi, I’ve written an nmap script that may come in handy to nmap users. It queries the Service Tags agent on Solaris, RHEL, SuSE, Windows boxes (if installed) and prints out the information it finds. Quite a good source of info don’t you think? You can read more about it here http://wadofstuff.blogspot.com/2010/12/sun-service-tags-nmap-discovery-script.html and the source can be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/wadofstuff/source/browse/trunk/nmap/servicetags.nse . Example output: # nmap -sU --script=servicetags -p 6481 1.1.1.1 Starting Nmap 5.35DC1 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2010-12-14 15:57 EST Nmap scan report for host.example.com (1.1.1.1) Host is up (0.00045s latency).
