Hi Fellow Devs, I have attached two screenshots of zenmap. The first "screenshot-zenmap.png" is of the current zenmap ui and the second is glade design showing some of the proposed changes. 1. Rather than have a button to start a scan and another cancel, why not have just a single button like we have some media players. Reason being you can only do one action at a time. 2. I used a grid layout for the target, profile and command widgets - its brings out a more clean and unified look if you ask me. 3. I decided to use a "hpane" for the "hosts" list and also to have the "services list" in a vpaned with it. Reason being we dont have to move use another action to view the services based on the "current selected host". We can select a host and have the services visible, then we can click on the service and get any more details we want. I hope that is explained clearly. 4. The "hosts filter" is at the top with in a vbox with the "hosts" list. Its simply a filter for the hosts and its purpose appears more defined with it placed there. - That's just my thought. 5. The statusbar is just for usual status in. 6. The "notebook" has its tabposition set to "bottom". The titles appear in "bold" font. Its more clean/uncluttered, pronounced and I'd know what I'm doing to want to click on the tabs. Just compare the two screenshot and give it a thought. 7. The "details" in the "nmap output" tab dont have to be displayed in a new dialog. I feels like adding more burden. Having it placed right there by the side of the output brings out an effect of "more info with less effort". Just my two cents. 8. As for the other tabs, I had send some earlier screenshots. Nothing has changed. The only addition is that all "options" buttons are in a toolbar at the top of the tab contents. In general is has a more official and "I mean business" kind of feel and usability. This are my proposals and feel free to email me with any questions you might have. Will you make a summary of the changes that you've made? I notice, for example, that the "Hosts/Services" sidebar has been divided into two parts. I think it would also help if you would post a screenshot of the current Zenmap interface using the same GTK+ theme. David Fifield
