Try that if the same thing is happening to you. I don't know what caused in in the first place, maybe the change in the size of the msiod struct wasn't noticed by files that depended on it.
I must've drawn up this patch on a clean tree because I wasn't running into these problems, but thanks for tracking it down for any else having these issues.
