hello again just curious on this output i just got back. standard UPnP discover/M-SEARCH message prove from nmap script sent to my home router and i got this back. my question is "why all the duplications?" UPnP: NT/5.0 UPnP/1.0Location: http://192.168.1.1:80/upnp/service/descrip.xmlWebserver: UPnP/1.0 UPnP-Device-Host/1.0 Name: NR041 Manufacturer: LinkSys Model Descr: Cable/DSL 4-port Router Model Name: NR041 Name: NR041 Manufacturer: LinkSys Model Descr: Cable/DSL 4-port Router Model Name: NR041 Model Version: 1 Name: NR041 Manufacturer: LinkSys Model Descr: Cable/DSL 4-port Router Model Name: NR041 Model Version: 1 also, does this UPnP probe work on every port 1900 enabled? does something have to be in place? my roomate has UPnP open as we speak and i can send this message to him all day long and i get nothing back at all. so Windows machines running UPnP are not considered valid devices???? (would it work to elicit a response if you fired off a NOTIFY packet instead?) thanks M|ke _________________________________________________________________ Get ideas on sharing photos from people like you.
