Timing probes now carry over.

Hey everyone, Nmap can now carry over timing probes from host discovery to the actual port scan and it can also interchange certain types of timing probes with other types of port scans. For instance, you can now use TCP syn probes to port 80 to time connection speeds while you run a UDP scan. This can dramatically decreases the time required to scan when Nmap cant solicit a response from the port scan. But there may still be some bugs. You can help me test these out grabbing the latest nmap svn and running scans with level two debugging on and looking for: Ultrascan DROPPED PING probe packet to*.*.*.* detected I'm pretty sure that bug wont come up again, but if you see too many of those then I obviously messed up :p Cheers, Michael _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev Archived at http://SecLists.Org
