I hope I won't go over something already discussed, but I've come upon a lot of the same problem... since it seems to be a common pain in the "expletive-deleted" area, is it possible to trap the error and have nmap display the solution ? 2007/8/16, Gianluca Varenni <gianluca.varenni () gmail com>:
Have you run the command prompt in which you execute nmap with elevated privileges? You do that by right-clicking on the command prompt link and using "Run as administrator".
