Well either way, if a couple of Nmap scans can crash a system there's obviously something wrong with it.
Yes, I fail to see why nmap should be at fault. It's like "fuzz" testing (http://home.pacbell.net/s-max/scott/bulletproof-penguin.html): You throw crap at some (program|system) and if it crashes, you found a bug (in the program/system, not in the crap :) ) -- Ralf Hildebrandt (i.A. des IT-Zentrums) Ralf.Hildebrandt () charite de Charite - Universitätsmedizin Berlin Tel. +49 (0)30-450 570-155 Gemeinsame Einrichtung von FU- und HU-Berlin Fax. +49 (0)30-450 570-962 IT-Zentrum Standort CBF send no mail to plonk () charite de _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev Archived at http://SecLists.Org
