Hello Kevin,
First I would like to say that I think the LUA system is brilliant. At first I was a little hesitant regarding if I thought it was a good idea, but smarter people have yet again made me eat my thoughts! <grin>
I am glad you like NSE.
I downloaded a copy of the alpha and have tested it on Mac, CentOS and Kubuntu and have
Thanks for the testing.
had no problems. I was wondering if it was possible to add to the API the host.version and return the value if a -sV scan was done on the host? I did a quick look into the code but in the 15 minutes I had before the kids started yelling, I didn't see how to do it. I will keep looking and would sending a patch here work?
I am not sure what you mean. RC1 has a port.service. For RC2 (which will be released this monday) I have added port.version also. Port service tells the service running on the port and version tells what -sV has found out. Do you mean something different? And of course, sending patches here would work. cheers Diman _______________________________________________ Sent through the nmap-dev mailing list http://cgi.insecure.org/mailman/listinfo/nmap-dev
