Thanks, I have applied this for the next version of Nmap. At the rate we're reducing this bug/feature list, we won't have anything left for the SoC students :). The change I made to your patch was to ALWAYS use AF_INET, since an in_addr is being passed in and that could lead to a buffer overflow if an in_addr6 was written over that.
