Problem with mac address reporting of local host in ping scan?

Hi all,

I issued the following command:

nmap -sP 192.168.1.*

I got all the ip's and their respective mac addresses, except for my own. It
listed my own hostname/ip, but it didn't report the mac address.

This problem may have been reported before, I'm not sure. Is this normal
behavior?
