I disagree, what's the harm in a warning? Does that make us beginners or less smart? Did Fyodor not take the time to say almost the same thing in lengthy detail? Take it a step further, I don't believe that exe should have even reached your inbox, it didn't mine. I've got virus protection on three level's but even if the file was clean, my email client wouldn't have shown it to me, just because it was an exe....... -----Original Message----- From: K_aneda [mailto:kaneda () magi net au] Sent: Monday, January 19, 2004 11:19 PM To: Paul Hieb Subject: RE: Fyodor does not send any files to the list! That was un-called for. Good lookin' out Bahadir.
It might not have been... however this is a security list which isn't exactly aimed @ beginners when discussing common sense. If your stupid enough to click on that .exe, you deserve to have your right to use a computer revoked. Sorry for the ultra-zealotish attitude, doesn't happen all the time. -- - K_aneda --------------------------------------------------------------------- For help using this (nmap-dev) mailing list, send a blank email to nmap-dev-help () insecure org .
