Is there anyone here that has been able to compile NmapFE on Mac OS X? I've downloaded and compiled all the necessary files to compile GTK+ 1.2.6 via Fink. i download the current version of Nmap from the website, and it compiles correctly, with the configure prefix = /sw, where GTK is. When I try to run xnmap, or nmapfe, i get the error "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: ". I cant figure anything out. Could someone help me? Thanks
Do you have a copy of X11 running, and entered "setenv DISPLAY 127.0.0.1:0.0" in your terminal window before running 'nmapfe'? No? Ain't gonna work. Download Apple's package for the X11 server, and you'll have much better luck. http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/download/
