Zaurus Nmap links

Hello everone,

I am putting the final touches on Nmap 2.54BETA37, which will be out
shortly. Until then, I just added a couple links to the Nmap Related
Projects page ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/nmap_relatedprojects.html
) which might be useful for those of you wanting to use Nmap on your
PDAs.

First of all, the Sharp Zaurus development community at
http://zaurus.sourceforge.net/ offers Nmap in their "essentials volume
2" package. For full functionality, you should also download
zutilsnmap-extra.zip which contains the OS Fingerprint database,
portlist, and other important Nmap functionality.

Once you have Nmap working on the command line, you can opt for a
compact QTopia port of NmapFE called QPenmapfe. It was created by
Dennis Webb and is available at http://home.midsouth.rr.com/zaurus/ .
Apparently it works on suitably configured IPAQs as well as the
Zaurus.

By the way, if you create something cool like this using Nmap, please
let me know. I'd be happy to add a link to the Nmap page. Or feel
free to send an announcement to nmap-hackers . With 15,000 members,
this is a great way to find beta testers to bang on your project :).
For projects that aren't quite ready for that level of exposure, you
can use nmap-dev instead.

One other project that I recently discovered and added to the page is
the Fink Project at http://fink.sourceforge.net/ . They create a
distribution of UNIX tools (including Nmap) for Mac OS X.

Oh, I also added the well-known Alldas defacement mirror (
http://defaced.alldas.org/ ). They monitor and mirror dozens of web
site defacements every day. Every morning after checking for yourself
in the newspaper obituaries, I recommend scanning Alldas listings for
your URLs! One Alldas strong point is that they provide Nmap scans of
each site so you know what the admin likely did wrong. I also added
an archive of their defacement/announcement mailing lists to
http://lists.insecure.org/ .

Cheers,
Fyodor
