Security Scanner). I took out Nmap since the survey was from the

could you post the complete list? I'm curious about the next 50... :)

traceroute/ping/telnet/NAT -- http://www.linux.com (or most other UNIX) --

I wouldn't list that as a url...
NAT also isn't it's own entry
and really fits better with netfilter etc (or else by itself, since
Cisco etc do NAT also)

scanlogd -- http://www.openwall.com/scanlogd/ --
sam spade -- http://www.samspade.org/ --

http://www.samspade.org/t/ is a page of online tools worth mentioning.

http://www.agt.net/public/sparkman/netcalc.htm
is a javascript network calculator that is invaluable for quick checks

Cheops -- http://www.marko.net/cheops/ --
Cheops's author has abandoned it, but CheopsNG
is at http://cheops-ng.sourceforge.net/
(hopefully coming soon is a nmap 'mapping' addition...
use nmap to scan, then pass the results file to cheopsNG
for display as a network map)

A few that went unmentioned but that should be:

npadmin -- npadmin: Scriptable, command line, network printer adminstration tool
http://npadmin.sourceforge.net

Linuxcare Bootable Business Card
http://www.linuxcare.com/bootable_cd/ (get the iso and burn it)

and my own project:
http://lubbock.sourceforge.net which takes the Linuxcare BBC to
new levels.... We are working on making this the ultimate in
customizable systems. Imagine having a list like Fyodor's top
50 here, clicking on whichever of the 50 you want (or all) and
getting a complete ISO image of a bootable CD with them to drop
into a box all ready to use.
