Actually I should have mentioned in the list welcome letter that ezmlm is configured to drop most attachment MIME types. The biggest advantage of this is to kill the TXT/HTML attachments braindead mailers like M$ Outlook send out by default. It also gets rid of junk like 'application/msword' and 'application/powerpoint' as well as most image formats. I have just changed it to allow x-tcl. If you want to send something medium-length (other than text), gzip it -- application/x-gzip is allowed. If it is still big (greater than 30K, say), then it would probably be better to put it up on a web/ftp/gopher site and post the URL. Some people using school systems and free web-based systems have amazingly small mail quotas. I'm looking forward to checking out this newest version of vnmap!
