Are you saying that congestion doesn't exist?
Not sure how you took that from what I said. No, I am not. I am saying your request for a 'layperson' to run a speed test doesn't seem particularly useful to identify that anyways. It's not a first order tool. What is the problem you are trying to solve for? On Tue, Jan 3, 2023 at 9:55 AM Mike Hammett <nanog () ics-il net> wrote:

It would be nice to gauge the capacity toa particular network that's something laypeople could do.15169 has enough capacity to external networks that a speed test from a random 'layperson' is never going to give you any meaningful information. I could host something in GCP myself, but cloud is expensive. ----- Mike Hammett [ http://www.ics-il.com/ | Intelligent Computing Solutions ] [ https://www.facebook.com/ICSIL ] [ https://plus.google.com/+IntelligentComputingSolutionsDeKalb ] [ https://www.linkedin.com/company/intelligent-computing-solutions ] [ https://twitter.com/ICSIL ] [ http://www.midwest-ix.com/ | Midwest Internet Exchange ] [ https://www.facebook.com/mdwestix ] [ https://www.linkedin.com/company/midwest-internet-exchange ] [ https://twitter.com/mdwestix ] [ http://www.thebrotherswisp.com/ | The Brothers WISP ] [ https://www.facebook.com/thebrotherswisp ] [ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXSdfxQv7SpoRQYNyLwntZg ]
