from the university net Nazis

Wow, it must be nice to live in a fairyland utopia where there is no DMCA,
no federal laws such as HEOA, and a wide variety of other things you clearly
know nothing about that require universities to be able to track their users
and manage their networks.

Both "fairyland utopia" and "net Nazis" are extreme positions.

And DHCPv6 is not the only solution to tracking users. There are
solutions that work with SLAAC.

Same as 464XLAT is not the only way to provide IPv4 service over IPv6.

Same as withholding a DHCPv6 client is not the only way to encourage
multiple addresses.
