I've noticed, for quite some time, that there seems to be a specific

defined
resolvers are 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8, which aren't *on* Sprint's
networks.

doesn't sprint intercept all udp/53 on their cellular network?

I don't know. If they do, and said boxes are slow, that could explain it,
too. On the gripping hand, I am running Cyanogen, which isn't Sprint
specific, and that could explain it too.
