        BTW, for mutt, you might try 

        In .mailcap:

        text/html; lynx -dump -force_html %s; needsterminal; copiousoutput;

        In .muttrc:

         auto_view text/html application/x-X-sun-attachment

        In which case you can at least see the what's in the
        email.
